DivX Inc. hired MCC International in early 2004 to increase its profile in the UK, France and Germany. The company is a consumer-focused video technology company positioned at the centre of multimedia convergence. Its core offering is the DivX video codec - the ‘MP3 of video’ - and among the world’s most popular video compression technologies with over 200 million users worldwide.

In the first quarter of activity alone MCC delivered over 50 quality clippings including with a double-page profile in both PC Home and Personal Computer World and a UK press tour resulting in 13 face to face meetings over two days. The client remains particularly impressed with MCC’s ability to place thought leadership coverage in its tier A publications such as .Net, alongside luminaries from Yahoo, Microsoft and AOL, with the ‘MP3 of video’ a term being cited in over 50% of coverage.
