Mega Games Launch
Tripwire Interactive was formed in February 2005 by the team that created Red Orchestra, the award-winning mod for Unreal Tournament 2004. The founders and staff of Tripwire had many individual game credits to their names and their first independent title, Red Orchestra: Combined Arms, won Phases II, III and IV and the Grand Finals of Nvidia’s $1,000,000 Make Something Unreal contest – every phase it was entered for!
When Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 went on sale in the UK – in retail and online – Tripwire turned to MCC International. Coverage and reviews resulted all over the games press (PC Gamer and PC Zone being two massive hits), and in the business press too.
“We gave MCC a big challenge with a completely new product in a new market,” says Tripwire Interactive’s Alan Wilson. “They were always easy to talk to with plenty of good ideas and pointers from them along the way. Most importantly, they kept us on track with the wide variety of media interest generated and we wouldn’t have been able to do it without them.”
